Here are three gorgeous linen towels with hand tatting.

This is from the estate of a wealthy Chicago suburban resident for whom I am helping to liquidate her estate. All of the items from this estate are fine pieces and many come with a typed note of provenance type written by my clients mother who was elderly and died in the early 1980s.

The lot has three towels:

Towel #1

Linen towel with tatting edge and a panel of tatting detail.

Cream colored

Excellent condition - zero flaws. JUST GORGEOUS!

Measures 13" x 6.5 " folded. 26" x 17.25" unfolded.

Towel #2

Linen towel with tatting edge.

Ivory colored

Excellent condition except for the large hidden stain - perhaps you have a secret for cleaning antique linens.

Measures 13.25" x 6.25" folded. 26.25" x 18.25" unfolded.

Towel #3

Linen towel with blue and white tatting edge.

Ivory colored damask towel with an interesting interlocking pattern in white on white through the whole towel.

Very good condition with some faint yellowing in spots and a few tiny dark spots the size of a pebble.

Measures 13.5" x 5.5" folded. 26.75" x 15" unfolded.

Based on the estate and the box from which these were stored I am dating to the early 1900s.
