These are so so cool. Set of 4 Antique Bone Dishes/Plates.
Antique German bone dishes with a phrase written in German "Bitte um die Knochen". This translates to "Please for the bones".
I have never seen a bone plate with a motto or phrase written on it. These are quite unique.
They come from an estate where the family lived in Austria from 1947-1957. The plates were acquired during that time frame, but they were purchased as an antique at that time. Probably from the early 20th century.
The plates feature a gorgeous raised scroll and vine border and are gilded beautifully. One of the four plates has more defined raised patterns than the others.
Measure 7.25" x 4.25".
They are all in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.
